Missed-call text-back for plumbing shops

No business email yet? Your website can fix that.

The mobile carriers — not CatchThatJob — require a business email on your own domain for your texting registration. If your shop already has a website on its own domain, you can turn on a real mailbox for that same domain.

You keep control of the account and pay the email provider directly. We never need your password.

The short version

1. Start with one mailbox

One paid user is enough to begin. Use your own name if you can, like mike@yourdomain.com. You can often add info@ later as a free alias.

2. Buy it where your domain lives

The easiest path is usually inside the same platform that manages your website or domain. That is what lets the platform connect the technical records for you.

3. Stop if DNS gets manual

If a screen asks you to change DNS records and nothing completes automatically, stop there and contact us before deleting or changing anything.

4. Come back to the form

When the new mailbox can send and receive mail, return to your CatchThatJob setup form and enter the new address as your business email.

Already receive email at your domain? Stop here and let us know before changing anything. Replacing existing email settings can break a mailbox that already works. This guide is for shops whose domain has a website but no real mailbox yet.

Find your platform

Open only the section that matches where your website or domain is managed. If you are not sure, use the last section — do not guess.

Wix
Google Workspace through Wix
  1. Sign in to Wix and open Business Email.
  2. Click Get a Business Email.
  3. Select your business domain and start with 1 user.
  4. Choose Google Workspace Business Starter, choose monthly or yearly billing, and complete the purchase.
  5. Wait at least 5 minutes.
  6. Return to Business Email and click Setup Business Email.
  7. Create your first address and password.
  8. Sign in to the new admin mailbox and accept Google’s product agreement and terms.
  9. When Wix says the account is active, test sending and receiving, then return to your CatchThatJob form.

If your domain is connected to Wix by “pointing” instead of Wix name servers, the email records may need to be added where the domain is hosted. Stop and contact us rather than guessing.

Squarespace
Google Workspace through Squarespace
  1. Open the Squarespace Domains dashboard and click your business domain.
  2. Click Email, then Get Started.
  3. Choose monthly or annual billing and select the Google Workspace plan.
  4. Complete the registration. The first address you create becomes the administrator.
  5. Check your current inbox for the temporary password Squarespace sends you.
  6. Sign in to the Google Admin console, accept Google’s terms, and set your new password.
  7. Follow the remaining prompts to verify the domain and add the email records.
  8. Test the mailbox, then return to your CatchThatJob form.

This section is only for a domain managed by WordPress.com. If your site merely uses WordPress software at GoDaddy, Bluehost, Hostinger or another host, use “WordPress elsewhere” below.

Weebly / Square Online
Google Workspace through Square
  1. Sign in to your Square Dashboard.
  2. Go to Online > Websites.
  3. Click Website > Domains.
  4. Under your business domain, click Manage > Manage email.
  5. Start the Google Workspace setup and create one mailbox.
  6. Complete the purchase shown by Square and create your first address.
  7. Test the mailbox, then return to your CatchThatJob form.

If Square hosts your domain, it sets up the Google email records automatically. If another company hosts the domain, stop at any manual DNS step and contact us.

Shopify
Google Workspace or Zoho Mail

Shopify does not provide a real email mailbox. Its free forwarding is not enough by itself, because you cannot normally reply from the domain address.

  1. Create one mailbox with Google Workspace or Zoho Mail and keep the provider’s domain-verification code on screen.
  2. In Shopify, go to Settings > Domains and click your business domain.
  3. In Email forwarding, click Switch to email hosting.
  4. Select the provider and enter the verification information it gave you.
  5. Return to the email provider and finish its setup prompts.
  6. Test the mailbox, then return to your CatchThatJob form.

GoDaddy
Microsoft 365 through GoDaddy
  1. Sign in to GoDaddy and open My Products.
  2. Find Email & Office and start a Microsoft 365 email plan for your business domain. Start with one user.
  3. Create your first mailbox.
  4. Follow GoDaddy’s prompts until it confirms the domain.
  5. If GoDaddy says the email is ready, test it and return to your CatchThatJob form.
  6. If GoDaddy asks you to add TXT, CNAME or MX records in another account, stop and contact us.

When the domain, DNS and Microsoft 365 plan are in the same GoDaddy account, GoDaddy can handle much of the domain setup automatically.

WordPress elsewhere — Bluehost, Hostinger or another host
Follow the host, not WordPress

A WordPress site can be hosted almost anywhere. The email setup belongs to the company that hosts the site or controls the domain — not to WordPress itself.

  1. Sign in to the company where you pay for hosting or the domain.
  2. Look for Email, Google Workspace or Business Email.
  3. Start with one mailbox on your existing domain.
  4. If the host offers an automatic Google Workspace setup, use it.
  5. If it asks you to edit DNS manually, stop and contact us with the host’s name.

Not sure — or your platform is not listed
Do not guess

The company that built your website is not always the company that controls its domain. An agency may have used Duda, Webflow or another builder while the domain lives at GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Namecheap, Porkbun or somewhere else.

  1. Do not buy email yet.
  2. Do not change any domain or DNS settings.
  3. Finish your CatchThatJob form with your current email and your full website address.
  4. We will inspect the public domain records, identify the right path, and tell you the exact next step.

When your mailbox works

Send yourself a test from another address, reply to it, and make sure both directions work. Then return to your setup form and enter the new domain address in Business email for your texting registration.

If you got stuck, email us the platform name and a screenshot of the screen where you stopped. Never send us your password or a sign-in code.
